A part-time role with great flexibility on hours, combining Accounting and IT
THE COMPANY
This high-tech firm is a rapidly growing company with a dynamic and vibrant environment. Headquartered in northwest Edmonton they have offices that spread all over North America.
Having recently upgraded their Accounting software to SAGE MAS500, they are working through the conversion to this new system. The company has already implemented several key modules and now have some key requirements remaining with the fixed asset module .
THE POSITION
Specifically, you will be locating, organizing and compiling the information to be entered into their new financial system. You will not be spending all your time doing data entry, since the content does already exist. Rather, you role will require more technical solutioning (mapping fields, establishing processes, quality testing) and logistics (organizing, tracking, and reporting).
You will need to work with the company engineers (who are the experts on the content) and with the Value Added Reseller (the experts on the software). Due to the nature of the work relying on the availability and the transfer of information with outside parties, this will be a part-time basis. It is aniticipated that you will only be required 2-3 days a week and often less than 8 hours a day.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Strong organizational and technical skills.
Pro-active person that is able to manage themselves and take initiative.
An accounting background
Experience with an Accounting system.
Strong communication skills with fluency in English
