ST4 Learning is looking for someone who is eager to prove him or herself. You need to have good ideas, know how to take initiative, and be able to implement your ideas, with minimal guidance. You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Perhaps in the past you have started and run clubs, organizations, sports teams, or have created your own jobs. You are extraverted, confident, not easily intimidated and very good on the phone. You should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking. You are computer-savvy. Knowledge of the assistive technology industry and previous experience with teaching, particularly in the field of special education, are definite assets.
In this role, you will need to accomplish everyday operating tasks and, at the same time, grow the company. You will be responsible for processing sales by taking orders, invoicing, shipping and reporting. We have billing software that does the tedious work for you, and we'll teach you how to use it. You will be talking to customers, and starting real relationships, built on trust. You will be dealing with parents, teachers, assistive technology specialists, occupational therapists, or speech and language pathologists who support individuals with reading and writing difficulties. You will need to identify with them. You'll also develop, maintain, and track these relationships using a database. You will need to do online presentations, product demonstrations, and consulting sessions. Occasionally these are done in person. You'll also be needed to travel to occasional conferences around the country. No selling is required. In fact, we discourage "selling".
By helping the company grow and develop, and by fulfilling your responsibilities, we expect you will create your own position, over time, formed around your own strengths. You'll need to be ambitious, and looking to invest in your career. Ongoing research and development will be an asset. We want you to keep current with the rapid technological changes in the education and learning environment. Creating and developing resources and materials in any media (articles, blogs, videos, tutorials, etc.) would be a vital contribution to the success of the company. A strong sense of visual thinking would be helpful. We need you to generate ideas and possibilities we have never considered.
Salary is competitive and commensurate upon experience. Up to $2000 is available for relocation.
