Teen Program Coordinator
Position Summary:
The Teen Program Coordinator will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing a wide variety of youth activities for our teen members ranging in age from 13-18 yrs of age within a designated Club designed to teach leadership skills, build self-esteem, and gain community service opportunities while building community relationships along with social responsibilities. Responsibilities also include coordination of youth programs and planning with the Program Director as directed by the CPO. The Teen Program Coordinator will also work effectively to create partnerships with outside agencies, schools and colleges to expose members to skill-building, educational and leadership opportunities. Additional duties as assigned by the Program Director or CPO.
Qualification Requirement:
Knowledge:
Demonstrated knowledge of principles related to development of youth between 5 to 18 years of age, group leadership skills, and an understanding of the group dynamics. Knowledge of various youth programs, organizations, opportunities, and activities. Must be able to meet background check and motor vehicle requirements.
Education:
Minimum 2 year college degree from an accredited college in related area/areas of youth development. 4 year Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of two years related experience in the operation of a Boys and Girls Club or similar organization.
